Indiana weekend medical technologist - part time opportunity 24 hours per week

Are you a Medical Technologist looking for a flexible schedule with meaningful impact? We’re seeking a Weekend Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team and support essential diagnostic services during weekend shifts.  We need reliable support for most but not all weekends.  This is ideally located between Cincinnati and Indianapolis.  Allowances for housing, meals, and miles driven is offered.  

Position: Weekend Medical Technologist
Schedule: Weekends (Day/Evening/Night shift availability – specify based on need)
Employment Type: Part-Time or Per Diem

Key Responsibilities: Perform moderate to high-complexity testing in areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, or transfusion services. Accurately analyze and report patient results in a timely manner. Maintain and calibrate lab instruments; perform required quality control and equipment maintenance. Follow all CLIA, CAP, and hospital policies and procedures. Communicate critical values and testing issues to clinical staff as needed. Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and documentation.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related life sciences field. ASCP or equivalent certification – required. Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred (new grads welcome). Ability to work independently and handle a wide range of testing.
