Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficient in venipuncture, capillary puncture, and special collection techniques for all ages.
  • Solid understanding of laboratory safety standards and infection control protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to accurately label, process, and handle specimens according to clinical guidelines.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws and specimen collections with a high degree of accuracy and patient comfort.
  • Verify patient identification and maintain up-to-date, thorough records of all procedures.
  • Prepare and transport samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring integrity and correct labeling.
  • Maintain clean and sterile equipment, workstations, and adhere to all procedural, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Provide excellent communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams regarding procedure explanations and instructions.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of phlebotomy and laboratory supplies as needed.
