Schedule/Hours:

  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
  • Monday through Friday
  • Qualifications:

  • 4–5 years of recent experience in a histology-related laboratory setting
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Active certification: HT (Histotechnician) or HTL (Histotechnologist)
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Proficient in histological techniques, including specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination, ensuring high-quality sample processing and accurate documentation
  • Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining using standard laboratory equipment and reagents
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory of supplies to avoid workflow interruptions
  • Adhere to safety protocols, lab policies, and established guidelines for quality assurance
  • Collaborate closely with pathologists and other healthcare staff to support accurate diagnostic outcomes
  • Manage daily workflow efficiently to meet expected turnaround times and uphold superior laboratory standards
