  • Training and demonstrated competency as a Pathologist Assistant
  • Proficient in specimen processing, gross examination, and slide preparation
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards
  • Ability to perform complex laboratory tests with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with laboratory information systems (LIS) is highly desirable
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biological science, or related field preferred
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assist pathologists with preparation and examination of tissue specimens for analysis, including grossing and tissue processing
  • Conduct various laboratory tests and procedures with precision to support accurate diagnosis
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all processed specimens and procedures
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation according to protocols
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and quality standards at all times
  • Communicate findings and collaborate closely with physicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Rotate through multiple lab sections as needed to ensure efficient workflow
